2021-05-23 Pentecost Hybrid Worship

We are ready for you inside our historic, beautiful Red Brick Church!

This week is the perfect time to join us in person for worship. We are celebrating the power and presence of the Holy Spirit, and receiving ten new members! Enjoy live music and solo, lyric videos, and a message of hope from God’s word this Pentecost Sunday!

We adhere to safe-distancing and masking requirements in our clean and welcoming sanctuary. Enjoy sitting with others from greater Cape May as we worship together. We simplified our service and made it even easier to participate, with our Worship Guide and lyric videos displayed on a large monitor.

What does Pentecost mean? An even better question to consider is, What does Pentecost mean to you? The whole point of Pentecost is that when the flame of the Spirit descended upon the followers of Jesus, the flame never went out. Pentecost is not just the Church’s birthday, it’s the launch of a movement of the people of God to make a difference in the world, to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord‘s favor, which is always now!

How do we know the Spirit is moving? You can’t see the Spirit, right? But you can see what the Spirit does, at work in and around us! Each of us uniquely demonstrates the fruit of the Spirit in our lives. God’s Spirit is moving throughout the world and since Pentecost, through the lives of those who follow Jesus. As we grow and transform, we will make a difference in the world in ways that only the Church can deliver. Here in Cape May, New Jersey, and in every city in America, throughout the world. Connect to the flame of the Spirit at Cold Spring Church.

Worship Your Way! In-Person, or Online

While we continue to worship online every week, we are excited to welcome all who are able and comfortable to worship in-person in our historic Red Brick Church on Sundays at 10:30 AM. Your safety, health, and wellness are our top priority. West Jersey Presbytery approved our session’s re-opening plan and our pastor, staff, and teams have worked hard to prepare for your arrival. Following the guidance from the CDC and health officials, we have implemented safety protocols and designed an approximately thirty-minute worship experience that will be spiritually energizing and safe for you, your family, and other worshippers.

Dear online worshipping friends: We apologize in advance should our live stream be interrupted by Facebook. We are working with Facebook and the music publishers to honor our music licenses and resolve these disconnect issues. Any interrupted live stream will be re-launched within a minute or two. Please rejoin as soon as we are back! Thank you for your patience. Pre-registration for in-person worship is encouraged but not required to attend worship. If you’d like to worship in person, you may contact the office at 609-884-4065 or email hello@coldspringchurch.com.
