Welcome to our cemetery campus!
Welcome to one of the oldest active cemeteries in the country. Our historic Cold Spring Presbyterian Church Cemetery is a treasure to be preserved, protected, and enjoyed as a lasting and honorable memorial.
The following Rules and Regulations have been adopted by the Cold Spring Presbyterian Church Cemetery and Grounds Team, approved by the Church’s governing board, and the New Jersey Cemetery Board, to maintain a pleasing and appropriate appearance, while promoting safety and facilitating maintenance on the cemetery grounds. To enable a smooth transition to these new standards, existing graves as of November 10, 2020 will be allowed a one-year transition period in which to comply.
PRE-PLANNING CAN HELP YOU PUT YOUR LOVED ONES FIRST THROUGH PREPARATION
Please call the Cemetery Office, 609-884-5130, for pre-planning resources.
WHO CAN BE BURIED AT COLD SPRING CEMETERY?
Everyone is welcomed. Cold Spring Cemetery is an historic site and the resting place for many famous figures including immediate descendants of the Mayflower. But there are hundreds of everyday people, both local to the greater Cape May region and more distant places, who have found their final resting place here. As a non-profit, non-denominational cemetery, we welcome people of all faiths and walks of life. Cold Spring Cemetery began as a ministry of the Cold Spring Presbyterian Church and was founded in 1714 to serve all citizens of New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Delaware, and that commitment to welcome all continues to be an important part of our mission today.
