2020-04-26 Third Week of Easter Worship Online Resources

By Intersections, Sermons

This week is the perfect time to join in our grand celebration for the Third week of Easter. We simplified our online service and made it even easier to participate. Join the video stream on Facebook Live (www.facebook.com/coldspringchurch) or, if you don’t have interest access, use your phone to listen by dialing: +1 (301) 715 8592. Enter passcode: 277 095 8375#. And, we have a special request of the children this week.

Jesus hears the children.Shout-Out to the Kids!

Parents, I will be asking the kids to share a photo of something that brings them joy while being quarantined! The stay-at-home restriction has been hard on kids and You! Help you kids take a photo of enjoying games, using the kid’s worship worksheet, reading, drawing, watching worship, or making crafts or food.

Once you and your family are ready, snap a pic or video to share with us by posting to Facebook #ColdSpringChurch or Instagram #coldspringchurchnj. While we have to live apart, we are never alone! The love of Jesus is for everyone, and Eastertide is the perfect time to remember Jesus’ victory.

How can I prepare for Easter Online?

Set the environment in your home to allow you to focus, participate, and enjoy the service. Fix your coffee, tea, or snack. Make sure everyone can comfortably watch and prepare to receive from God as we worship together, apart!

Share Your Easter!

You have found a place to encounter God and people who care about you – just as you are, right where you are, anytime.

Connect and Serve

We believe that everyone deserves to experience God’s love in relevant and authentic ways, while keeping themselves and the community safe, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. Our thriving faith community puts God’s love into action to help make greater Cape May a better place. We joyfully love and serve God and our neighbors through the power of the Holy Spirit in the name of Jesus Christ. Thank you for joining us!

“He is not here; he has risen! Remember how he told you, while he was still with you in Galilee: ‘The Son of Man must be delivered over to the hands of sinners, be crucified and on the third day be raised again’” (Luke 24:6-7).

Below are resources that can be used before, during, and after our 10:30 AM worship experience. Share them with others, too!

“Wherever two or three are gathered, there I am…” Jesus.

Deacons (Caring Team) Meeting

By

February and March Deacon’s Meeting will be via Zoom. Please contact Mary Imperato for more information.

Our 2022 Deacons include Janice Lewis, Jim McCaughey, Mary Imperato (moderator, treasurer), Robin Stiles, and Barbara Keister (secretary).

Our Caring Team meets monthly with the pastor to review opportunities for connections, visits, prayer requests, and mission projects. The Deacons are the community mission team for our congregation and receive a special offering each week. Projects the Deacons have led include the Gingerbread House Building Event, Easter Egg Hunt, Children’s Christmas and Easter Gifts, and our welcome bags. The Deacons also manage the prayer requests that are received each week.

Session (Leadership Team) Meeting

By

Our 2022 Leadership Team includes Norris Clark (clerk of session), Tom Imperato, Elaine Jordan, Linda Kaemph, Charles Keister, Beverly Mate, Chuck McPherson, and Larry Moyer.

Our Session is comprised of elders, women, and men, who have been elected to serve for designated terms on the leadership team for Cold Spring Presbyterian Church. The session meets monthly with the pastor to provide leadership to the worship, mission, and equip the leadership and service of others as we fulfill our mission. Approved Minutes are available the following month.

The ruling elders are inspiring, listening, assessing, and leading this congregation in an intentional transformation process. Our mission is to improve the spiritual vitality and wellness of our congregation and community throughout the Cape May region through inspiring worship, practical teaching from God’s word, innovative programs, and community-focused events and ministry.
