The entire community is invited to step into history by experiencing one of our informative and engaging walking tours of the historic church and surrounding cemetery. Like all our events\, this is a “Come as you are” activity for the entire family. No reservations are required. \n\nOur volunteer docents and guides\, sometimes dressing in period costumes\, will share inspiring stories of exciting individuals whose remains are buried in our sacred space. Our oldest gravestone is dated 1742. Our Red Brick Church is a national historic landmark with a compelling story of its own to enjoy! View historic relics and become a part of our continuing story.\n\nPlease see Elaine Jordan if you’d like to learn more\, or if you’d like to be a tour guide! SUMMARY:Ash Wednesday Service in Red Brick Church
DESCRIPTION:The season of Lent begins on Ash Wednesday\, February 22\, 2023. Cold Spring Church will offer a unique hybrid worship experience in the Red Brick Church from noon to 12:45 PM. The service for Ash Wednesday allows our community to begin the journey of Lent together. Lent marks the themes of penitence and repentance from sin as we move toward Holy Week and Easter. \nDuring the service\, you may wish to receive the imposition of ashes. Pastor Kevin Yoho’s message\, The Face of Grace\, will assure us that though we are dust\, we are baptized dust. (Hint\, less frown\, more joy!) \nAsh Wednesday recognizes our fragility and mortality were it not for the grace of God. When we publically receive and wear the ashes of sin and repentance\, we practice this ancient discipline collectively and individually. In humility but with confidence in Christ\, we all ask God to bless our entire creation and communities and breathe new life into our dusty lives. \nThe community is welcome to attend. Invite a friend to join you as we begin our Lenten journey toward the cross and Easter’s promise of new life.

DESCRIPTION:Join the Wreaths Across America Tradition at Cold Spring Church Cemetery\nOur annual Wreaths Across America event is a nationwide ceremonial tribute to military veterans on Saturday\, December 17\, 2022\, at noon in the Veterans’ Memorial of Cold Spring Church Cemetery. The ceremony is open to the entire community without cost at our beautiful\, flag-adorned Veterans Memorial along Academy Road. We are near the parking area on the south side of Cold Spring Church’s 200-acre campus. Look for the service flags at the center of the Veteran’s Memorial. \nCold Spring Church’s mission is to improve our community’s spiritual vitality and wellness through worship\, activities\, events\, and other ministries. For more than 308 years\, we have continued to energize spirits and transform lives.  Find out more. \nRemember\, Honor\, Teach\nYou may purchase a wreath online below or in person with a purchase form available in the Red Brick Church Narthex on Sundays between 10:00 a.m. and 11:45 a.m.\, or the church office Monday through Friday\, 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Wreaths are $15 each. Like all our events\, this is a “Come as you are” activity for the entire family. No reservations are required. However\, if you’re vacationing and would like to plan ahead\, reserve your place on the tour by selecting a FREE RSVP ticket for your preferred date\, below. \nSaturdays\nOur Saturday Historic Walking Tours begin at 10 AM. The approximately 60-minute tour starts in front of our red brick church and concludes in the air conditioned red brick church building. There is no fee for the tour. For those who wish to support the community mission of Cold Spring Presbyterian Church\, a basket is located in the church Narthex. \nWhere to Meet the Tour?\nTours will begin in front of the red brick church building located at 780 Seashore Road in Cold Spring\, Lower Township\, New Jersey (3 miles north of Cape May center). 
Ample complimentary off-street parking is available. We are conveniently located adjacent and across from the Historic Cold Spring Village. Dates are below.\nMarge Wetherill and Bob Lambert will be your guides.  Fantastic stories from the past three hundred years will inspire and inform you!\nThis Summer\, after a long pandemic-caused hiatus\, we will be re-launching our highly anticipated Historic Ancestors Walk—A Guided Walking Tour of the Cold Spring Presbyterian Church and Cemetery! The entire community is invited to step into history by experiencing one of our informative and engaging walking tours of the historic church and surrounding cemetery. Like all our events\, this is a “Come as you are” activity for the entire family. No reservations are required. \n\n\nOur volunteer docents and guides\, often dressing in period costumes\, will share inspiring stories of interesting individuals whose remains are contained in our sacred space. Our oldest gravestone is dated 1742.
